Terms of Service

1. The service

BidLens is an AI-powered tender intelligence platform for South African businesses. We aggregate publicly available tender notices from government portals, score them against your company profile, and provide tools to track your bid pipeline.

BidLens is operated by Cyber Edge Consulting (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa.

2. Account & eligibility

You must be 18 or older and authorised to bind the business you register on behalf of. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

3. Subscription & billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly in ZAR via Paystack.
• The free trial converts to a paid subscription only if you choose to upgrade — no auto-billing without your action.
• Prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
• We may change pricing on 30 days' written notice; existing billing periods are unaffected.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel from the Account page at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — we don't refund partial months. Your data remains available for 30 days after cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Resell, sublicense or scrape the service.
• Submit unlawful, infringing or malicious content.
• Attempt to circumvent security or rate-limits.

6. Tender data & AI output

Tender notices are sourced from public government portals. We make reasonable efforts to keep them accurate and up to date, but we don't guarantee completeness or that you'll be awarded any contract. AI-generated reports, scores and bid drafts are decision support tools, not legal or financial advice. Always verify critical details against the official tender document before submitting a bid.

7. Intellectual property

BidLens, the logo and the platform are owned by Cyber Edge Consulting (Pty) Ltd. You retain ownership of your company profile, documents and bid content. By uploading content you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost bids, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or use the service unlawfully. We'll give you reasonable notice unless immediate action is required.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of South Africa, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
